This was our 8th visit to Tortola and we always rent homes on the West End that are managed by JC and Sam Pierce (who manage this villa). We are quite partial to them. I cannot say enough about this home. It is in the scenic and protected Belmont Estates area above Smugglers Cove and Long Bay. The dirt/gravel roads to get to the house are both quite interesting and fun and in my opinion really help you to feel like you are "away" from it all. The views from the house are breathtaking. Any words I have would not do that justice. The house has 3 very large bedrooms (we only used 2). The bedrooms all have AC, but due to the villa being high up the hill, the breezes made it quite comfortable--and we went in late July. The kitchen is very modern and spacious and the home also has lots of other amenities to keep you connected if needed such as WiFi, cable TV and Ipod Docks. The pool and outdoor dining is awesome and great after a day on the beach. An added bonus is that the 2 primary bedrooms have protected outdoor showers. We spent most of the time on Tortola and took one trip to JVD for the day by ferry. We also cooked about half our meals at the house and went out for the other half. The location of the home makes it pretty easy to get pretty much anywhere you would want to go. We always have great meals at Jolly Roger and Palms Delight. This time we also had great meals at The Dove in Roadtown and Frenchmans Resort. You can get most of your groceries at the Harbour Market in Sopers Hole which is 5 minutes down the hill. I could go on and on, but coming from experience, I would highly recommend this villa. I cannot imagine how anyone would not have the time of their lives. Like I said we have made 9 trips to Tortola and stayed at 4 different villas. For what we want, this is our favorite.

Built in 2008, its vibrant yellow, pink and blue exteriors help this classic Caribbean structure stand out as it sits high up on the hillside in the desirable Belmont Estate, overlooking Belmont Pond, Long Bay and Smuggler's Cove below, with islands dotted on the serene horizon.    

  Sunny Side Up is one of our more spacious 3 bedroom villas making it a great choice for larger groups. It accommodates with three air-conditioned lofty bedroom suites, a generous open plan living/kitchen area and an inviting pool and deck. All rooms take advantage of the mesmerizing views of the outlying Islands of Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Cay and beyond. Sunny Side up has been renovated since Irma after suffering some damage (mostly cosmetic and railings), new photos coming soon (Nov'18)

Description

A flight of steps will bring you to the main level, home to the Great Room, with its cathedral ceiling and series of high-arched windows and doors - letting in plenty of natural light, and providing panoramic views and cooling breezes as you rest on the comfortable, natural sea grass furniture. The open living room and kitchen area is separated by a convenient breakfast bar with sea grass stools, and the kitchen is fitted with stainless steel appliances, gas stove, well-stocked mahogany cupboards, granite counter tops and walk-in pantry.

Through an arched doorway leading to the pool deck, you will find an 8-10 person covered al-fresco dining area, large stainless steel built-in gas BBQ, wet bar, mini-fridge and a poolside shower. There is an additional table with 4 chairs and 4 sun loungers on the pool deck. 

On the other side of the pool in a 2nd pavilion you'll find a beautiful air-conditioned suite with two queen beds, built-in closets and an en-suite bathroom with double vanity and tiled al-fresco shower. Both beds face out to the gorgeous ocean views and you can just wander onto your personal porch area to sit and admire the stunning sea vistas. 

An exterior staircase from the pool deck leads up to the very impressive master suite with a king-sized, four-poster mahogany bed, double-vanity en-suite bathroom and natural stone private outdoor shower. 

On the lower level is the third bedroom with two queen beds, built-in closets and a tiled bathroom with walk-in shower.

Maid service is once midweek and she will change all linens and towels as well as do a general clean throughout the villa. Laundry facilities are availabe for everyday use.

*Sunny Side Up does not have a back-up generator

*The beds all have mosquito nets but there is no mosquito screening on doors and windows - let the breezes blow through or close up the shutters and turn on the AC!

*Sunny Side Up's driveway is steep with a sharp switchback. Be prepared to back up if there is more than one car rented

We accept a minimum booking of 5 nights year round and 10 nights over Christmas and New Year.
Please add 10% government hotel tax and 3% service fee.
We also require a $300 refundable damage deposit.
