Villa Taino and it's beautiful tropical grounds have been lovingly created and nurtured by it's artistic owners to give an air of peace and calm. The views possibly steal the show, but anyone can appreciate the time and care taken to collect the unusual and interesting artifacts and antiques that adorn every curve and corner of this elegant villa. While it has a tasteful Caribbean flair, Villa Taino also has a sumptuous comfort thanks to the beautiful, rich, wood furniture, and bold use of color in the furnishings.
Taino is found in Belmont Estate, West End where many of the rental villas have been built so we have a great selection of restaurants within 5 - 15 minutes drive of the villa.
West End Jetty is just 10-15 minutes away, perfect if you're arriving by water-taxi from St Thomas (no ferries scheduled as of Oct'21), the New Horizon ferry to Jost van Dyke also leaves from West End jetty.
Soper's Hole Marina is another great West End feature, home to 3 restaurants (Pussers Landing, Omar's Coffee Shop and Omar's Fusion), Harbour Market grocery store, Arawak, Breeze and Allamanda gallery gift shops, plus Island Surf and Sail for all kinds of watertoy rentals.
Getting around
We definitely recommend renting a 4WD SUV for your stay, there's plenty to explore. Tortola's only 12 miles long by 3 miles at its widest but it's a mountainous island and the roads can be pretty rugged with some sharp switchbacks on the hills.
We have some great taxi driver's in the West End who can meet you on arrival and bring you to your villa for a really relaxing start to your vacation. And of course they're available for trips to beaches, restaurants and anywhere else.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY
- All cancellations and any request for changes to your reservation (such as date changes or changes in the number of persons) must be made in writing by email and will be dealt with on a case for case basis.
- For cancellations received 61 days or more prior to your arrival 20% of your DEPOSIT will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- For cancellations received 46-60 days prior to your arrival 50% of your TOTAL will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- For cancellations received 45 days or less prior to arrival 100% of your TOTAL is forfeited. If we’re able to re-book the villa to another guest we will return to you 80% of the rent paid by the new guests for the nights rebooked (the nights might be rented at a “last minute” discounted rate that’s less than you originally paid).
- There will be no refund made for late arrivals or early departures.
Deposit Policy
PAYMENT POLICY
Once you reserve a property a deposit of 50% is due to confirm the reservation. The balance of 50% + the refundable damage deposit must be paid in full at least 60 days prior to your arrival. *If paying by credit card, Refundable Damage Deposits will not be charged until arrival.

Extraordinary!! We couldn’t have found a better location for our 10 day honeymoon! Villa Taino was so relaxing, spacious, tranquil … perfect!! The pool, covered veranda, and views were fantastic. This was our first visit to Tortola we enjoyed the beaches, snorkeling, Gorda Baths, sights, sounds and the Villa Taino was the icing on the cake! Thank-You for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home!

We stayed at Villa Taino for a week - and what a week! Sam the manager of the property was outstanding from start to finish. The pool is fantastic as are the views of Virgin Gorda. The layout of the house is fantastic - the pictures in the listing do not do it justice! Each bedroom has a huge shower. The kitchen and grill are great for meals, so this would be great for families or for groups of 3 couples. Overall a wonderful experience on a great side of Tortola. Highly recommend!

After several villa rentals on St. John, we opted to stay on Tortola this trip...and Villa Taino was all we had hoped it would be, and more. The views from the villa are actually more stunning than the photos on the website. The villa sits high enough to enjoy great views of Jost van Dyke and the clear blue water, but close enough to the coast that you can hear the waves breaking on Long Bay several hundred feet below.
The villa itself was outstanding -- open and airy, and we enjoyed wonderful trade winds the entire week we were there. Sam Pierce (the property manager) made the entire process easy, from reserving the villa to checking in. We can't overemphasize how helpful she was, answering tons of questions befor we arrived and when she met us at the West End ferry dock.
The villa is not difficult to reach once you've done the route once or twice, and the written directions Sam provided made it quite easy to get from the Villa to Soper's Hole or any of the great North Shore beaches. We'd recommend Cane Garden Bay for the great beach vibe, Smuggler's for snorkeling, and we absolutely loved dinner at Banannakeet restaurant (between Apple Bay and Cane Garden Bay).
All in all, it was a superb week in Tortola, which convinced us that we need to spend more time on that great island (and in that great villa). Our only regret was that our trip didn't last longer!

We've been to the BVI seven times and this is by far, our favorite villa.
Sam, the property manager, was great with any questions we had and was always available to address all our needs. The views from this house are incredible !!! The outdoor living area was great, rain or shine ...what a place to just relax. Don't miss snorkeling at Smugglers Cove, a walk down Nature Boy Beach, Surf & Turf dinner at Sebastian's, and lunch at Pusser's for "yachtie watching".
If you enjoy a tranquil getaway.... you've found your place at Villa Taino.
We'll definitely be back.
Taino - The Best

This was our fourth stay at Taino and our fourteenth visit to Tortola. We have always stayed on the West End and at many of the houses there. Taino is without a doubt the best. Then house is a work of art, but it feels like a home not a museum. The spaces are amazing from the early morning breakfast terrace to the cozy game room. The main living space with the views to Jost and the fabulous plantings, make it very conducive to just sit and look out. Every detail has been thought of. Honestly once you are at Taino, there is very little reason to leave.

Our family has visited the Carribean for over 20 years. Taino is by far our favorite experience. The property is landscaped with care, the residence is spotless. The location, between Long Bay and Smugglers Cove, provides an elevation and view that you'll never forget. As is evident on all of the additional commentary, J.C. and Sam Pierce will ensure that your visit is hassle free. Truly a 5 star experience.

Villa Taino was absolutely stunning! By far, the best VRBO we have ever rented. It had gorgeous views, exotic decor, and everything you need for a fun and relaxing vacation. The villa had hairdryers, coolers, beach chairs, blender, floats, kayaks, beach towels... you do not need to bring anything extra! Very close to Smuggler's Cove, if you care to leave the infinity pool!! My family, including my 16, 12, and 10 year old, were so relaxed and content at the villa that it was hard to motivate ourselves to venture away for the day. The sunset is beautiful and we tremendously enjoyed making dinners together and serving them in the lovely dishes and accessories. This is not a rental- it will be your home for the entire the time you are there. The only sad part of our vacation was having to leave!
I highly recommend Villa Taino for anyone with children age 10 and over. Sam, the Property Manager was very attentative and went out of her way to get us situated, answer questions and ensure that all went smoothly. You will not be disappointed if you choose this lovely home! We had a fabulous time!!
