🛋️ LIVING AREAS:
One of the stand out features of Smugglers Beachside is the way that the glass walls of the lower level pull aside to create an almost totally open, ocean facing front to the house. This creates an elegant, breezy inside/outside area that leads straight out to the pool and the sun deck, perfect for sharing with friends and family.
We love the pale blues and natural wood finishes of the sophisticated interior. All is light, bright and airy, with cool stone floors, and clean, elegant design which captures the best of modern Caribbean design.
Downstairs, there is a large living area with comfortable seating for the whole party and a glass topped dining table for family meals. For those looking to find a moment of peace and quiet there are also smaller spaces so that you can peel off and find a private nook for a little quiet time.
The fully equipped kitchen comes complete with Subzero appliances and a commercial-grade ice maker that will keep all your beverages icy cold. Like all the downstairs rooms, the glass doors will pull across leaving your kitchen open to the ocean breezes.

1,2&3)You will find three beautifully romantic bedrooms, each equipped with a dreamy four poster king size bed, complete with breezy voile curtains. One room has a private balcony and another an outdoor shower.
4)The fourth room is a great bunk up for all the kids, with one full size bed and three twins. Perfect for sleep overs, this fun and cosy room has its own porch and swivel rockers and an incredible view. Your teenagers will love it, but it’s equally good for a family who want to share with younger children.

The interior and exterior blend seamlessly into one another, allowing guests to become fully immersed in the natural beauty of this spectacular location while enjoying all the benefits of modern Caribbean living. Your sleek, modern infinity pool is equally good for languid lengths or a simple splash. Surrounded by sun loungers, it’s a sociable and relaxing area for catching some rays. The outdoor dining area is covered on three sides, allowing for alfresco dining in with an ocean backdrop.
You’ll be surrounded by lush greenery and that spectacular ocean view overlooks the neighbouring island of Jost Van Dyke. We can assure you, you’ll never get tired of waking up to soft-pink sunrises or enjoying a sundowner while admiring one of the dramatic firey sunsets that light up the skies at the end of each magical BVI day.

Smuggler’s Cove is idyllic & perfectly sheltered by its vibrant reef which provides sensational snorkeling & is home to Patricia’s laid-back beach bar. *cruise ship passengers sometimes come here so look online for the “BVI cruise ship schedule” to avoid the busier days.

At Long Bay you’ll find a mile-long stretch of white sand & turquoise waters & a selection of beachfront refreshment options – 1748 Restaurant, Tropical Fusion, Johnny’s Beach Bar & 1748 Coffee Shop. If you’re feeling energetic there’s Long Bay Beach Resort’s Tennis & Pickleball courts. A day pass will buy you hours of fun! Gym passes also available as well as a spa for a little pampering. You can also purchase a pool pass for the day ($100 pp incl $75 food & beverage credit & access to the pool. Under 12’s are free)

🚗 Although there are ferries to connect you to other islands, the public transport in Tortola is basically non-existent and there’s so much to go and see but taxis add up quickly. Tortola is only 14 miles long by 3 miles at its widest, but it’s a mountainous island and the roads can be quite rugged. We can help you to reserve a 4WD SUV or direct you to recommended local car rental companies who understand that good 4WD vehicles are mandatory to explore with confidence. They can offer delivery to your port of entry or villa (we can help organise you a taxi to take you to the property) & carry a selection of cars & jeeps. Jerry’s Car Rental is our favourite and the easiest car rental company to work with online.
