If you’re looking for the WOW factor, then you’ll certainly find it in Treehouse at Steele Point. Built high on a rocky outcrop at the end of a long peninsula that reaches out into the turquoise Caribbean Sea, Treehouse is nestled amongst the treetops and has views of the ocean on three sides.
The Steele Point Estate guards the entrance to Soper’s Hole and Frenchman’s Cay on the western most point of Tortola. It is a majestic location with views across the Sir Francis Drake Channel to many islands including Jost Van Dyke and Great Thatch.
Treehouse makes the absolute most of its’ privileged position. A wraparound deck on both levels offers numerous vantage points to sit and chill and admire the views from all sides. Perfect for star gazing, boat spotting and just plain chilling, this is one of Tortola’s premium destinations.
THE INTERIOR
The villa is arranged on two levels, each with its own wrap around deck with spectacular views of the surrounding ocean and island greenery. The knockout space in the centre of the villa is The Great Room, a huge, beamed and high ceilinged multi-functional room with doors that open onto the deck on three sides.
Decorated in the grand Caribbean style with dark wood finishes, light fabrics and splashes of colour, this comfortable and elegant room offers a breezy social space to enjoy food, drink and the company of friends.
There is a light and airy bedroom suite on each floor. The first floor bedroom boasts the luxury of an outdoor bath – and with those views! Run your water, mix your cocktail and let the stresses and strains of the world dissolve as you watch the sun go down from your warm and scented bath.
The lower level bedroom is just as attractive and fresh with its own wrap around deck and the same all round views. And whilst the bath at this level might be your more average inside version, this floor hosts the private pool, so guests at this level can simply step out of bed and into the pool with its amazing vistas.
THE OUTSIDE
Given its elevated position, Treehouse is perfectly positioned for watching the world go by. There are several furnished decks, all with their own spectacular view of the surrounding ocean. And after all that hard work relaxing, you might like a splash in the private pool to recharge your batteries.
ON YOUR DOORSTEP
If you fancy stretching your legs for just over a mile you can walk to the very handy Soper’s Hole Marina which is home to the West End Ferry Terminal (where you can catch boats to fellow British Virgin Island Jost Van Dyke and US Virgin Islands St John and St Thomas) and a great selection of restaurants, a well-stocked grocery store, boat charter companies, shops and more. Alternatively, a walk of similar length in the other direction will take you to beautiful Smugglers Cove, where Patricia’s beach bar awaits with cocktails and bbq treats.
However, many of our repeat guests find it hard to tear themselves away from the views they have from their own private lookout point in Treehouse Villa. After all, it’s hard to beat perfection.
