WATERSPORTS
The majority of beaches are on the North Shore of Tortola with the exclusion of Surfsong & Brandywine Bay. Here’s a quick summary, from west to east – because we believe West is Best.
We will guard some of the details and directions to ourselves, as we value our local friendships too much to share everything with you. We are sure you’ll have fun exploring and discovering for yourself.
Smuggler's Cove
Generally calm and protected, have fun snorkeling over the reef on either side and check out Nigel's Boom Boom Bar (you'll either love him or hate him)
Long Bay (West)
A mile long of white sand, perfect for exercising, with 2 beachfront restaurants (1748 & Tropical Fusion), mostly reef under water but 3 main swim areas with a sandy bottom.
Apple Bay
Can be quite rough with surf in the winter, fun to watch from Sebastian's Beachside restaurant.
Cane Garden Bay
The only beach with a bunch of beach bars, restaurants and live music, popular with the cruise ship passengers. To avoid the crowds head down after 4pm.
Brewers Bay
Generally very quiet with a couple of very low-key drink and snack shacks and a great spot for snorkelling.
