One of Tortola’s most luxurious 2 bed villas, Blackbeard’s Hideaway is perfection. Perched on a headland in the exclusive Steele Point Estate, you’ll have panoramic views of the glimmering Caribbean ocean & surrounding islands.

With a private infinity pool & shared boat dock (with 1 other villa) you may not want to leave, however the grocery stores, bars, restaurants & spas of Soper’s Hole are just a couple of miles away.

LIVING AREAS
Pale walls, dark wood furnishings, local blue-bit stonework and pops of natural greens create a feeling of tropical chic. The carefully selected natural materials seamlessly blur the lines of indoor and outdoor living.
You’ll enter into The Great Room where you’ll find an open-plan kitchen and living room. It’s light and airy with high pitched ceilings and large glass doors and windows, letting in plenty of ocean breezes.

The living room has plenty of comfy seating and a Flat Screen TV (if you can bear to tear your eyes away from the views) for moments of downtime. The living room and kitchen are only separated by a sociable breakfast bar with 4 high stools.

The kitchen is fully equipped with high quality appliances for making a slap-up meal which you will surely be enjoying from the dining table on your spacious covered veranda. Complete with stunning ocean views and gentle breezes, this is a really special spot to enjoy a meal with family & friends or to watch the boats sailing lazily past.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The 2 stylish bedrooms and their ensuite bathrooms are situated either side of the Great Room, making for really private retreats for all guests.
No arguing over bedrooms necessary, as each offers a sumptuous king-sized beds, ensuite bathrooms complete with outdoor (and indoor) showers and doors opening out onto the veranda with THOSE panoramic views.

STEP OUTSIDE
The pool deck at Blackbeard’s is totally idyllic, with a turquoise infinity pool that feels as if it goes right into the ocean and contemporary outdoor furniture including chairs, tables and loungers. What a place to sit with a sundowner and watch as the sun sinks below the horizon and sets the sky alight.

To top off this exclusive location, there’s also a picturesque path leading down to the ocean that has a shared landing dock where you can swim and snorkel along the rocky shoreline. It’s pretty incredible.

Notes
Blackbeard’s Hideaway is part of Steele Point Estate, a privately owned eight acre estate that occupies the entire western peninsula of Tortola. There are three other villas on the estate – Steele Point Villa, Gestalt, and Treehouse – all of which can be rented individually or combined.

SMUGGLER’S COVE (1 mile away)
Smuggler’s Cove is idyllic & perfectly sheltered by its vibrant reef which provides sensational snorkeling & is home to Patricia’s laid-back beach bar. *cruise ship passengers sometimes come here so look online for the “BVI cruise ship schedule” to avoid the busier days.

SOPER’S HOLE MARINA (1.5 miles away)
If you fancy stretching your legs for just over a mile you can walk to the very handy Soper’s Hole Marina. Here you’ll find West End Ferry Terminal (where you can catch boats to fellow British Virgin Island Jost Van Dyke and US Virgin Islands St John and St Thomas) and a great selection of restaurants (Omar’s Coffee House, Admiral’s Pub, Omar's Sandspit & Pusser’s Landing), a well-stocked grocery store, boat charter companies, shops and more.

APPLE BAY (3.1 miles away)
A little village with world-class winter surf & a handful of bars and restaurants (Nardie’s Beach Bar at Sebastian’s, The Sugar Mill, Tramonti) for all occasions.

CARROT BAY (3.8 miles away)
A charming village where you’ll find local fisherman, fruit stalls, North Shore Shell Museum and D’Coal Pot restaurant.

LONG BAY (3.6km away)
At Long Bay you’ll find a mile-long stretch of white sand & turquoise waters & a selection of beachfront refreshment options – 1748 Restaurant, Tropical Fusion, Johnny’s Beach Bar & 1748 Coffee Shop. If you’re feeling energetic there’s Long Bay Beach Resort’s Tennis & Pickleball courts. A day pass will buy you hours of fun! Gym passes also available as well as a spa for a little pampering. You can also purchase a pool pass for the day ($100 pp incl $75 food & beverage credit & access to the pool. Under 12’s are free)

WINDY HILL (4.8 miles away)
Head to Stoutt’s Lookout for a chilled beer with an incredible view over the bay or Bananakeet (Heritage Inn) restaurant for one of the best dinner spots to watch the sunset on island.

CANE GARDEN BAY (6.1 miles away)
The buzziest beach on island, you’ll find a whole variety of restaurants, bars & nightlife (Indigo Beach House, Elms, Paradise Bar, Myett’s plus many more) lining the water. You’ll also find a small grocery store, a white sand beach with calm swimming and options for watersports and Callwood’s Rum Distillery. *all these amenities mean that the cruise ship passengers come here, so look online for the “BVI cruise ship schedule” to avoid the busier days.

Transit
TERRANCE B. LETTSOME AIRPORT (EIS) (16.6 miles away)
(50 MIN DRIVE) is on Beef Island in the East End of Tortola (connected by bridge). It’s the only airport on Tortola and where you’ll fly into.

WEST END FERRY HARBOUR (0.7 miles away)
The closest place to catch a ferry to connect you to the US Virgin Islands (St Thomas & St John) and fellow BVI Jost Van Dyke

Although there are ferries to connect you to other islands, the public transport in Tortola is basically non-existent and there’s so much to go and see but taxis add up quickly. Tortola is only 14 miles long by 3 miles at its widest, but it’s a mountainous island and the roads can be quite rugged. We can help you to reserve a 4WD SUV or direct you to recommended local car rental companies who understand that good 4WD vehicles are mandatory to explore with confidence. They can offer delivery to your port of entry or villa (we can help organise you a taxi to take you to the property) & carry a selection of cars & jeeps. Jerry’s Car Rental is our favourite and the easiest car rental company to work with online.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations and any request for changes to your reservation (such as date changes or changes in the number of persons) must be made in writing by email and will be dealt with on a case for case basis.

- For cancellations received 61 days or more prior to your arrival 10% of your rental amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.

- For cancellations received 60 days or less prior to arrival 100% of your TOTAL is forfeited. If we’re able to
re-book the villa to another guest we will return to you 80% of the rent paid by the new guests for the
nights rebooked (the nights might be rented at a “last minute” discounted rate that’s less than you
originally paid).

- There will be no refund made for late arrivals or early departures.

Deposit Policy

PAYMENT POLICY
Once you reserve a property a deposit of 50% is due to confirm the reservation. The balance of 50% + the refundable damage deposit must be paid in full at least 60 days prior to your arrival. *If paying by credit card, Refundable Damage Deposits will not be charged until arrival.
