LIVING AREAS
La Villa is filled with light and air. The spacious rooms, high ceilings & cool tones create a bright and breezy space, accented with stylish dark woods.
The sociable open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area for 8 are upstairs. The gorgeous hand-made hardwood furniture is the perfect place to chill, enjoy the cooling breezes from the ceiling & floor fans and chat to those whipping up a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. of this opens out onto a large veranda with outdoor dining set overlooking the rolling green hills, glimmering ocean, and neighbouring islands of Jost Van Dyke and Sandy Spit.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The airy bedrooms are on the ground floor. The primary has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom a queen. The third bed in the middle room is a single for an additional guest. All of the bedrooms open out to the bottom floor veranda and its soundscape of birds and treefrogs.
The main bathroom on the ground floor has double sinks & walk-in shower. The mezzanine floor bathroom has a stone clad outdoor shower, for washing amongst nature.
STEP OUTSIDE
The pool deck is a wonderful place to read a book, catch some rays on the loungers or just listen to the sounds of nature. A large awning covers one side for those seeking shade.. Your private pool will be hard to resist. So, grab a drink, fire up the BBQ and get to do some serious unwinding, La Villa is the perfect place for it after all.

La Villa is located in the exclusive but welcoming rural estate of Belmont. Belmont Salt Pond below is a natural reserve and important ecosystem that regularly attracts flamingos (there are 8 there this week as I write this).
SMUGGLER’S COVE (0.5 MILES AWAY)
Smuggler’s Cove is idyllic & perfectly sheltered by its vibrant reef which provides sensational snorkeling & is home to Patricia’s laid-back beach bar. *cruise ship passengers sometimes come here so look online for the “BVI cruise ship schedule” to avoid the busier days.
LONG BAY (0.3 MILES AWAY)
At Long Bay you’ll find a mile-long stretch of white sand & turquoise waters & a selection of beachfront refreshment options – 1748 Restaurant, Tropical Fusion, Johnny’s Beach Bar & 1748 Coffee Shop. If you’re feeling energetic there’s Long Bay Beach Resort’s Tennis & Pickleball courts. A day pass will buy you hours of fun! Gym passes also available as well as a spa for a little pampering. You can also purchase a pool pass for the day ($100 pp incl $75 food & beverage credit & access to the pool. Under 12’s are free)
APPLE BAY (1 MILE AWAY)
A little village with world-class winter surf & a handful of bars and restaurants (Nardie’s Beach Bar at Sebastian’s, The Sugar Mill, Tramonti) for all occasions.
CARROT BAY (1.8 MILES AWAY)
A charming village where you’ll find local fisherman, fruit stalls, North Shore Shell Museum and D’Coal Pot restaurant.
SOPER’S HOLE MARINA (2.1 MILES AWAY)
Here you’ll find a great selection of restaurants (Omar’s Coffee House, Admiral’s Pub & Pusser’s Landing), a well-stocked grocery store, boat charter companies, shops, Driftwood Spa & more. West End Ferry Terminal is opposite (where you can catch ferries & water taxis to fellow British Virgin Island Jost Van Dyke and US Virgin Islands St John & St Thomas). Enquire with Soper’s Hole Marina & Lighthouse Marina for dock space if you have a boat.
WINDY HILL (2.7 MILES AWAY)
Head to Stoutt’s Lookout for a chilled beer with an incredible view over the bay or Bananakeet (Heritage Inn) restaurant for one of the best dinner spots to watch the sunset on island.
CANE GARDEN BAY (4 MILES AWAY)
The buzziest beach on island, you’ll find a whole variety of Restaurants & Bars (Indigo Beach House, Elms, Paradise Bar, Myett’s plus many more) lining the water. You’ll also find a small grocery store, a white sand beach with calm swimming & options for watersports & Callwood’s Rum Distillery. *all these amenities mean that the cruise ship passengers come here, so look online for the “BVI cruise ship schedule” to avoid the busier days.

TERRANCE B. LETTSOME AIRPORT (EIS) (14.7 MILES AWAY)
is on Beef Island in the East End of Tortola (connected by bridge). It’s the only airport on Tortola and where you’ll fly into.
WEST END FERRY HARBOUR (2 MILES AWAY)
The closest place to catch a ferry to connect you to the US Virgin Islands (St Thomas & St John) and fellow BVI Jost Van Dyke

Although there are ferries to connect you to other islands, the public transport in Tortola is basically non-existent and there’s so much to go and see but taxis add up quickly. Tortola is only 14 miles long by 3 miles at its widest, but it’s a mountainous island and the roads can be quite rugged. We can help you to reserve a 4WD SUV or direct you to recommended local car rental companies who understand that good 4WD vehicles are mandatory to explore with confidence. They can offer delivery to your port of entry or villa (we can help organise you a taxi to take you to the property) & carry a selection of cars & jeeps.
