With stunning views of Jost Van Dyke & several of the other beautiful BVI’s, Song Of The Sea is one of a collection of villas nestled into the slopes of Long Bay.

The entire development is surrounded by bright, tropical landscaping & bordered by an idyllic mile long beach. Convenience is a rarity in Tortola, but here you can simply take stroll down to the white sands, turquoise waters & beachfront restaurants of Long Bay.

Space
LIVING AREAS & BEDROOM:
Airy and filled with sunlight, you’ll find an open studio-style layout with a high vaulted ceiling. Equipped with a king-size bed, two comfortable lounge chairs, a small workspace, AC, cable TV and hi-speed WIFI, you’ll have all your home comforts but with a much better view!

The compact kitchen in the Penthouse is fully equipped for speedy meals with built-in cooktop, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster oven, blender and refrigerator. The bathroom is spacious and offers a large shower and a dressing area with dresser and hanging closet.

STEP OUTSIDE:
Open the large glass sliding doors to the covered deck, settle into the teak furniture, listen to the waves roll in and feel the breeze from your private ocean lookout spot.

Access
The Penthouse unit is the upstairs suite of Song Of The Sea villa. Guests share an entryway with the Garden Suite unit, a door leads off to the left for the Penthouse and one to the right for the Garden Suite although it’s quite possible that you won’t see any other guests for your entire stay.

HOUSEKEEPING: is once a week. All linen and towels will be changed and a general cleaning will be done. Daily housecleaning can be arranged at your own expense.

ACTIVITIES: You may see the Long Bay Resort amenities in some of the photos. Enquire with Long Bay Resort to purchase passes to the gym, tennis & pickle-ball courts. You can also purchase a pool pass for the day ($100 pp incl $75 food & beverage credit & access to the pool. Under 12’s are free)

We’ll make sure you have everything you need including directions to your villa, recommended car rentals & taxis, check-in options, online provisioning & much, much more. Plus, loads of tips, tricks, suggestions & personal recommendations for all things Tortola. And we’re here to assist with all of this too!

CHECK IN:
Our role is to make sure that the property is always in tip-top condition & that you have the best vacation possible. Tortola is our home, we know our villas inside-out & we’re happy to answer any questions you may have about the property ahead of time.

We’re nearby if you need us for anything but we’re unobtrusive…just contact us by phone, text or email & we’ll be happy to help with any request.

Neighborhood
Song of the Sea is located in the exclusive but welcoming neighbourhood of Long Bay in the West End of Tortola. It has a friendly community feel with a good mix of residents and tourists in the area. You’ll be just minutes away from Long Bay’s beach and various wonderful amenities.

LONG BAY (270 yards away)
At Long Bay you’ll find a mile-long stretch of white sand & turquoise waters & a selection of beachfront refreshment options – 1748 Restaurant, Tropical Fusion, Johnny’s Beach Bar & 1748 Coffee Shop. If you’re feeling energetic there’s Long Bay Beach Resort’s Tennis & Pickleball courts. A day pass will buy you hours of fun! Gym passes also available as well as a spa for a little pampering. You can also purchase a pool pass for the day ($100 pp incl $75 food & beverage credit & access to the pool. Under 12’s are free)

SMUGGLER’S COVE (1.2 miles away)
Smuggler’s Cove is idyllic & perfectly sheltered by its vibrant reef which provides sensational snorkeling & is home to Patricia’s laid-back beach bar. *cruise ship passengers sometimes come here so look online for the “BVI cruise ship schedule” to avoid the busier days.

APPLE BAY (0.6 miles away)
A little village with world-class winter surf & a handful of bars and restaurants (Nardie’s Beach Bar at Sebastian’s, The Sugar Mill, Tramonti) for all occasions.

CARROT BAY (1.3 miles away)
A charming village where you’ll find local fisherman, fruit stalls, North Shore Shell Museum and D’Coal Pot restaurant.

WINDY HILL (2.3 miles away)
Head to Stoutt’s Lookout for a chilled beer with an incredible view over the bay or Bananakeet (Heritage Inn) restaurant for one of the best dinner spots to watch the sunset on island.

SOPER’S HOLE MARINA (2.9 miles away)
Here you’ll find a great selection of restaurants (Omar’s Coffee House, Admiral’s Pub & Pusser’s Landing), a well-stocked grocery store, boat charter companies, shops, Driftwood Spa & more. West End Ferry Terminal is opposite (where you can catch ferries & water taxis to fellow British Virgin Island Jost Van Dyke and US Virgin Islands St John & St Thomas). Enquire with Soper’s Hole Marina & Lighthouse Marina for dock space if you have a boat.

CANE GARDEN BAY (3.6 miles away)
The buzziest beach on island, you’ll find a whole variety of Restaurants & Bars (Indigo Beach House, Elms, Paradise Bar, Myett’s plus many more) lining the water. You’ll also find a small grocery store, a white sand beach with calm swimming & options for watersports & Callwood’s Rum Distillery. *all these amenities mean that the cruise ship passengers come here, so look online for the “BVI cruise ship schedule” to avoid the busier days.

Transit
TERRANCE B. LETTSOME AIRPORT (EIS) (19 miles away)
is on Beef Island in the East End of Tortola (connected by bridge). It’s the only airport on Tortola and where you’ll fly into.

WEST END FERRY HARBOUR (3 miles away)
The closest place to catch a ferry to connect you to the US Virgin Islands (St Thomas & St John) and fellow BVI Jost Van Dyke

Although there are ferries to connect you to other islands, the public transport in Tortola is basically non-existent and there’s so much to go and see but taxis add up quickly. Tortola is only 14 miles long by 3 miles at its widest, but it’s a mountainous island and the roads can be quite rugged. We can help you to reserve a 4WD SUV or direct you to recommended local car rental companies who understand that good 4WD vehicles are mandatory to explore with confidence. They can offer delivery to your port of entry or villa (we can help organise you a taxi to take you to the property) & carry a selection of cars & jeeps. Jerry’s Car Rental is our favourite and the easiest car rental company to work with online.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations and any request for changes to your reservation (such as date changes or changes in the number of persons) must be made in writing by email and will be dealt with on a case for case basis.

- For cancellations received 61 days or more prior to your arrival 10% of your rental amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.

- For cancellations received 60 days or less prior to arrival 100% of your TOTAL is forfeited. If we’re able to
re-book the villa to another guest we will return to you 80% of the rent paid by the new guests for the
nights rebooked (the nights might be rented at a “last minute” discounted rate that’s less than you
originally paid).

- There will be no refund made for late arrivals or early departures.

Deposit Policy

PAYMENT POLICY
Once you reserve a property a deposit of 50% is due to confirm the reservation. The balance of 50% + the refundable damage deposit must be paid in full at least 60 days prior to your arrival. *If paying by credit card, Refundable Damage Deposits will not be charged until arrival.

Sam was a phenomenal host! This is the absolute best situation we could have asked for. The location, hospitality and weather (which I'm convinced she had something to do with) was absolutely unparalleled. We will book again if she'll have us.

I had a wonderful stay at Song of the Sea. The place was spotless and exactly as described. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach. I loved doing yoga every morning on the wooden beachfront shelter; it felt like having my own private pier. You’ll definitely want a car to get around the island, but the kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed, which made meals easy. Sam and her team were super responsive, and the view was absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to plan my trip back!

Great place to stay. Had everything you will need and the views are beautiful. Walking distance to a beach and resort that has a coffee shop, restaurant and bar. Sam is very responsive and has great handbook for local beaches and activities. Highly recommended place.
