Fall in love with outdoor living at this bohemian retreat…a reminder that simple is often better. The fresh white walls & simple decor are just a backdrop for easy, breezy living on top of the hill!

Every corner is a special place to savour the soothing breezes…the yoga platform on the roof is ridiculously zen; Burtt’s special ledge in the corner of the pool for the perfect sunset cocktail; the open-air kitchen for informal dinners to be thrown together with music playing while the stars reflected in the pool twinkle – I kid you not, this is where my mind wanders when I visit BVI Village!

THE INTERIOR

At the end of a winding road from either Long Bay or West End, the driveway delivers you to a peak on the ridge with incredible views to both north and south sides of Tortola. The living room, outdoor kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom are found in the main house while the master suite is in a guest house at the end of the pool.

The master suite is a short walk along behind the pool and offers a little more privacy with it’s own little patio, bathroom and outdoor shower.

The 2 bedrooms in the main building share a bathroom (with shower) and each has 2 twin beds that can be made up as kings. One of these bedrooms has direct access to the bathroom while the Loft bedroom has exterior access only to the shared bathroom.

Please enquire if you have young children – even though these 2 bedrooms have exterior access only, many parents are happy to use the baby monitor, we just like to make sure you understand the layout properly. 

All bedrooms have split system AC.

THE OUTSIDE

The kitchen and dining areas are next to the pool at the heart of the property, completely open for the ultimate alfresco experience…with a large overhang for protection from sun or rain. The kitchen has a full size stainless fridge, propane stove and there’s a propane BBQ as well. The custom purple-heart wood cabinetry and countertop offers an informal dining option and the living room is a cool little retreat under the same roof as the kitchen/dining area.
 
BVI Village is located in Belmont Estate, West End where many of the rental villas have been built so we have a great selection of restaurants within 10-15 minutes drive of the villa.
 
DINING OPTIONS: Tropical Fusion and 1748 on the beach in Long Bay. Sebastians on the Beach, Tramonti and The Sugar Mill for fine dining in a beautiful historical setting in Apple Bay. Da Coal Pot on the waterfront in Carrot Bay, Bananakeet (top of Windy Hill for the best sunset views), Stoutt’s Lookout (top of Windy Hill) for great views and very informal BBQ etc, Omars Coffee House and Omars Fusion at Soper’s Hole. Bustling Cane Garden Bay with it’s selection of restaurants, bars and live music, is just a 15 minute drive.
 
GROCERIES & ATTRACTIONS: C&D convenience store is just over Zion Hill (10-15 minutes drive) and at Soper’s Hole you’ll find Harbour Market (a well-stocked branch of the island’s main grocery store, Riteway), along with gift shops and Island Surf and Sail for all your water toy rentals. Sage Mountain is a 25 minute drive and offers beautiful National Park trails at a slightly cooler temperature due to the elevation and shade of the rainforest-like terrain. BEACHES: Long Bay Beach is 1 mile long of white sand – perfect for walking off the cocktails and coconut shrimp or conch fritters! The best areas for swimming are near the middle and the 2 ends of the beach. Pelican Point is a large rock protruding from the water in the middle of Long Bay, great for snorkeling out to on calm days. Apple Bay offers world class surfing when the conditions are right. Smugglers Cove is a protected spot that usually offers calm waters – perfect for the less energetic among us and perfect for snorkelling the coral reefs where you can spot all kinds of sea-life.
