Best location on the island! Roads are a little treacherous, but we quickly figured that out. Pool is amazing and house beautiful and well equipped. A beautiful beach is a quick drive with the best beach bar called Patricia’s. We ate there almost everyday. You won’t be sorry staying here! (Melinda K May 24th 2024)
We spent 9-days at Scottland and wish we could have spent more! The size and layout of this villa was perfect for my family of four. The views and surrounding landscaping are absolutely amazing and the villa was very clean and well equipped. We rented a car and did several day trips to neighboring islands. A 4WD vehicle is a must to get to the villa as the road in and out is quite an adventure (but adds to the fun). Smugglers Cove is a short 5 minute drive and walkable if you prefer. Sam, JC, Sharlene and Pinky were great and all four helped us along the way. Pinky even delivered her famous rotis to the villa which were amazing. (Jesse R March 23rd 2024)
We spent 10-days at Scottland over Christmas/New Year’s and enjoyed our stay immensely! Extraordinarily private and quiet, this villa has the essence of old Caribbean along with modern amenities that made for a truly relaxing and comfortable stay. So many cozy options to enjoy the outdoors and mesmerizing views of Jost and beyond, and swimming in the sparkling pool after a day on the beach were absolutely delightful. The drive in and out is not for the faint of heart, but once you get to know the dips and turns it’s well worth it for the secluded and quiet location. Many thanks to the Villas of Tortola team for taking such good care of us! P.S. Don’t miss Pinky’s rotis, the BEST <3 (Petra December 25th 2023)
My wife and I just returned from a two week stay at this hillside villa overlooking beautiful Smugglers Cove. We had a wonderful relaxing stay, enjoying morning breakfast on the upstairs patio off the master bedroom, and evening dinner on the expansive covered patio adjacent to the sparkling pool. It was hard to talk ourselves into going anywhere else to explore or have a night out, since everything at “Scottland” was so comfortable. We did, however, make an exception on a number of days to take the 3 minute ride down the hill to Smugglers Cove. This beach is like sugar sand, and the ocean water is crystal clear, but the best part is we only had to take a short stroll to Patricia’s beach bar where cheeseburgers in paradise awaited along with Painkillers to wash it down…YUM! The staff at Villas of Tortolla took great care of us, and made our stay absolutely perfect. We would definitely consider a return to this little slice of paradise. (Russell F vrbo January 19th 2024)
The pool was amazing and the view outstanding. The road to the home is pretty adventurous (steep and bumpy) but Sam warned us and her recommendation for Jerry to provide 4 wheel and Eric/taxi from airport were perfect. We enjoyed it very much! (Julie S airbnb June 29th 2023)
This property is stunning! Such beautiful views of the hill sides & ocean! Very quite & private location. Home is cozy & comfortable. I think we spent 80% of our time on the veranda! We had a few hiccups but Sharlene was excellent in resolving any issues. Roads take a little getting use to at first but just go slow, you’ll be fine. Scotland is such a gem, we will return hopefully sooner than later! (Jacqueline M vrbo 3.9.23)
Sam and her entire team were absolutely wonderful. We booked this trip last minute and was able to pull everything off in 2 days ONLY because of Sam’s help getting there. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the lovely housekeeper Louise, Pinky who delivered homemade rotis and Sharlene with our private car that was delivered right to the door, along with a refrigerator full of groceries. We loved the home so much, we hardly left. It was so peaceful and exactly what we needed to decompress. We will definitely be back! (Jena W airbnb 3.18.2023)
We had a fantastic stay here! The view was breathtaking and never got old. We spent most late afternoons in the pool staring out over the water. The drive to the place is not for the faint of heart but we were prepared for that and it was well worth it for the seclusion and views. We would absolutely stay here again!
