Villa Taino and it’s beautiful tropical grounds have been lovingly created and nurtured by it’s artistic owners to give an air of peace and calm. The views possibly steal the show, but anyone can appreciate the time and care taken to collect the unusual and interesting artifacts and antiques that adorn every curve and corner of this elegant villa.
While it has a tasteful Caribbean flair, Villa Taino also has a sumptuous comfort thanks to the beautiful, rich, wood furniture, and bold use of color in the furnishings.
The bedrooms are private and tranquil while the living areas are large, comfortable open spaces that flow into each other, making for an easy-going atmosphere whether you’re friends or a family holidaying together. It’s commanding position on a ridge means that Villa Taino is able to take advantage of the trade winds that wrap around the hillside.
The villa has a large driveway where a wooden gate opens onto the stunning pool and deck which just beg for a good book and a cocktail, while admiring the elegant sailing yachts or sleek power boats out on the ocean in front of you. The main living area is on the porch next to the pool and consists of sumptuously cushioned oversize furniture and various seating arrangements, beneath a high, shingled, circular roof.
Just minutes away is amazing snorkeling at Smuggler’s Cove or leisurely strolls along the mile of white sand that is Long Bay…..Or for a change of scenery a sunset cruise aboard one of the daysail catamarans at nearby Soper’s Hole Marina is just a short drive from the villa.
The fact that Villa Taino has many repeat guests who are drawn back year after year is a testament to the comfort, the ambiance and of course the service that you will experience here!
Villas of Tortola properties and staff have all received government-operated gold-seal training and certification.
From the hallway, you can access the kitchen directly ahead. The kitchen is well equipped and provides a gas stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. A large opening in the wall through to the dining room makes preparing dinner and laying the table for 6, easy and enjoyable. Off the dining room is a separate porch with a teak table and a Weber gas grill for alfresco eating. Also accessed from the dining room is the library, housing the SmartTV, a collection of games and DVDs and a music system.
Back in the hallway, winding stairs lead to the two queen bedrooms. Both have large en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms and bathrooms have AC, screened windows, mosquito netting over the beds and ceiling fans. In a separate wooden pavilion off the pool deck is the Master Suite, a large airy screened-in room with more breathtaking views to wake up to in your king size four poster bed!

The pictures don’t do this house justice. I will warn you, the roads are tricky so if you fear heights, sharp turns and one lane roads this might not be the house for you. If you can get past all that, you will be in paradise….or let Eric (taxi) drive you around.
Visit the beaches, they all have something different to share. We did smugglers and ate at both beach bars and they were great (cash only). We then spent some time at Cane bay and you will want to visit when the cruise ships aren’t there.
Let’s talk restaurants, you need to try Sugar Mill, 1748 and Bananakeets, make a reservation ahead of time. They all have great food. There was bingo at Sabastians on Thursday nights, check it out.
Take the ferry or private charter to Jost, great bars!!
The house was amazing, beds were comfortable and the view was perfect. (Shannon B vrbo 1.7.2023)
This place was the best b&b I have ever stayed in. The pictures don’t even do justice for what it’s like in real life. You are still close to bars / restaurants. The driving is easy after one day of practice. Everything was so close and easy and this location was the BEST. I cannot recommend this more. We will definitely be back. I think the only negative thing I can think of is that the Wi-Fi doesn’t work well out on the patio by the pool. Other than that, no complaints! (Bailey H airbnb 12.11.2022)
It’s hard to describe how amazing the views are from the villa. We spent 5 days sitting on the porch, swimming in the pool and taking in the incredible surroundings. The house is fully stocked with everything you could need. We used the grill every night of the week to cook steaks and seafood. The lush landscape and setting of the house make you feel like you are in a private oasis. The roads to get to the house are steep, so you need a 4 wheel drive but once you make it to the top, the journey is well worth the effort. We will definitely be back!! (Rebecca M vrbo 12.16.22)
We have stayed at Sam-managed properties three or four times over the last few years. It has gone well every time. She has always been very conscientious about the details but easy to deal with and goes out of her way to make everything run smoothly. Particularly in the last year when we came during the pandemic and had to quarantine, our freedom was more limited and she made it go smoothly. She acts like a professional and treats people like an adult. She is a pleasure to do business with. (Steven C. Facebook 3.22.2021)
Our group had a wonderful 10 day stay in Villa Taino in June 2019. This was our 2nd – but hopefully not Last- time to work with Sam and crew. This villa had everything we needed and we were so comfortable hanging out in the open air living area and perfect pool. The view is spectacular, as advertised. I would say, “Don’t hesitate to book your stay in this Villa” (J’Laine F. facebook 6.23.2019)
