This stunning villa ticks every box! It’s a beach house in the most chic sense of the word and one of the closest villas to the beach on Tortola, elevated enough for privacy and maximum views over to Jost and beyond. Decorated with impeccable taste, the decor offers sophisticated but understated glamour in this beach chic setting. I could go on forever but the photos try to capture the sense of luxury at The Beach House.
THE INTERIOR
The remodel of this villa was just recently completed in 2021 and it’s unrecognisable from it’s former layout as Van Dyke House. A beautiful separate guest house with the master suite, has been built at the top of the property. The new owners, talented and successful restauranteurs, have created an amazing layout with an emphasis on indoor/outdoor living and socializing, with multi-level decks bordered by lush landscaping while the infinity pool appears to overflow to the beach just yards away.
All rooms are air-conditioned with large glass-panelled doors allowing the sunshine to stream in. Or, in true beach house-style, leave the doors open for summertime living. The rooms are packed with style and comfort. The bathrooms alone are exquisite with the most amazing selection of tiles and finishings. The kitchen is equipped with top of the range stainless appliances and a chef’s eye to detail and it flows into the living room and 2 walls of glass doors that open to the deck.
The 4 bedrooms are dotted around the property providing space for everyone. The guest house is the most luxurious, a spacious king suite where you can retreat to your very own spa-like sanctuary. It has its own separate entrance at the top of the property and is just a few steps above the main pool deck. Complete with conveniences like a fridge/freezer, microwave, wet bar, desk, TV and sofa, indoor and outdoor showers and a private deck that’s the perfect spot to enjoy time with your partner on the chaise.
Next to the BBQ deck is a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom which can of course be made up as a king bed.
There’s also a poolside bathroom with shower off the BBQ deck.
Facing the beach, on the front porch is a split level queen suite with a spacious bathroom and satellite TV.
The fourth bedroom is smaller than the others and on the lower level. It has a queen bed and it’s own shaded porch and table and chairs overlooking the beach as well as satellite TV. We do accept 8 guests but please note that this bedroom is really best suited to a single adult due to the size of the room and the louvre style doors to the ensuite bathroom.
THE OUTSIDE
A teak dining table for 8 sits on the covered porch directly outside the kitchen. And a whole other dining experience awaits on the upper pool deck where a stunning BBQ area offers the perfect backdrop for starlit dinners next to the pool.
Sleek sun loungers and fun bean bags keep the atmosphere relaxed, while the outdoor stereo system can create whatever mood you’re looking for.
The Beach House is the perfect retreat for fun-and-sun-seeking travellers looking for luxury next to the beach. It’s just a 3 minute stroll to Long Bay Resort restaurant and coffee shop or Tropical Fusion, 2 great beachfront dining experiences.
Villas of Tortola properties and staff have all received government-operated gold-seal training and certification.
