With a spectacular location & views over Brewers Bay, beautiful Whale Watch is the island getaway you’ve been dreaming of – think privacy, relaxation, a clear turquoise ocean and azure sky as far as the eye can see.
The views really take the centre stage from anywhere on the property and at any time of day…miles of glistening ocean ripples and vivid pastel sunset skies by day, and twinkling lights on the hillside and boats below by night.
Large wooden doors at the end of the driveway open onto a little courtyard where the stunning views will immediately wow you as you enter! The courtyard leads directly to the covered dining porch, the living room and a more formal front door. This open layout is what keeps the property cool, informal and relaxing.
The villa itself is at the same time crisp and serene with neutral paint, furnishings and linens, with splashes of ocean blues, greens and turquoises.
The kitchen and living room are separated by a relaxed breakfast bar (with seating for 4) where you can chat while prepping or cooking meals, and the kitchen is fitted with stainless steel appliances making cooking at the villa a pleasure. The covered al-fresco dining porch with teak dining table and seating for 8 and extra large propane grill complete the dining experience. The living room is comfortably furnished with slip-covered sofa and arm chairs or relax in the hammock chair on the main dining porch. The kitchen and living room have plenty of ventilation with 2 walls of sliding doors (both glass and screened) and several screened windows as well as powerful Hunter ceiling fans. There’s also the option of AC.
All the rooms are in one building, the bedrooms are accessed by exterior doors only, reached by a covered walkway from the front door. The Master bedroom is a few steps up from the main level front door and features a king bed with matching custom-built teak bedroom set, AC, an ensuite bathroom with shower, and glass sliding doors leading to a balcony. The second bedroom is directly below the Master and accessed by a few steps leading down from the main level front door, it has twin beds that can be fitted to make a comfortable king bed and it also has AC, ensuite bathroom with shower and glass sliding doors to it’s own balcony.
The platform sun deck has 2 sun loungers and is easily accessed by steps from both bedroom balconies as well as the main deck and steps from the courtyard. On the lower deck of the main house there’s a spacious 3rd bathroom with shower as well as an exterior shower for rinsing off after the beach, and a wooden path leads to the pool deck.
If you’re familiar with Tortola, Whale Watch is located just down from Soldier Hill on the way to Brewers Bay. Follow a quiet dirt track that leads to just 3 villas set well apart from each other for complete privacy and peace that few properties can boast.
All in all, Whale Watch is the perfect! And it’s the perfect spot for a honeymoon or romantic anniversary trip…The layout is perfect for either one couple or for 2, for anyone looking for plenty of down-time reading and watching nature or the boats drifting by. Despite the tranquility, the fun and live music of Cane Garden Bay or Road Town are just a few minutes away with plenty of fabulous restaurants to tempt your taste buds with fresh local dishes like fish, conch fritters, coconut shrimp, rotisserie and more.
* While we do accept children at Whale Watch you must know that there is no interior access between bedrooms, you must go outside under a covered walkway to reach either bedroom).
* Due to the “off the beaten track” seclusion of Whale Watch, you must rent a reliable 4WD SUV (unless you prefer to depend on taxis), the road a hilly, dirt track and does require 4WD when wet.

They helped set us up with a taxi driver, rental car and grocery delivery making our trip so easy so that all we had to do was have fun and relax! The views are even better in person! We fell in love with brewers bay and will be back to stay at Whale Watch! Highly recommend! (Josephine M May 21st 2024)
For our family, mom dad and 2 adult children, Whale Watch was the perfect size. We stayed for 10 days and we’re so sad to leave. The views of Brewers Bay are amazing! Brewers Bay is a hidden gem of a beach! Nicole’s is a nice beach bar/grill where Jennifer will serve you with a smile. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must, and the roads are exciting, but manageable. Whale Watch is just what a tropical paradise should be: comfortable and stunning at the same time as well as being tremendously private. The only sounds you will hear is the rush and gentle crash of the waves below. (Michael B vrbo 30 December 2023)
The views are even better than the pictures. Sam had great recommendations, from a personal taxi from the airport to a catamaran excursion to Norman Island. It was a fantastic all around trip to Tortola and I would highly recommend staying at Whale Watch! (Bryan M airbnb November 22nd 2023)
We had a lovely stay at whale watch. The views down to brewers bay were incredible. The house had everything we needed, was clean and even had a generator the night we lost power. The roads on Tortola are definitely some of the steepest we’ve been on and we’ve seen our fair share. There are dirt roads, rocky roads, etc. so 4 wheeled drive is definitely needed. Some of the most secluded and best beaches (Rogues, little Bay) were off the beaten path but were so worth it. Smugglers Cove is a must see. Didn’t care for Cane Garden Bay but we like to be alone or one of the only families on a beach. A day trip to Jost is a must! Thank you, Sam, for a memorable stay. (Christine P vrbo June 23rd 2023)
Our stay at Whale Watch was absolutely lovely. The property is very clean and well-maintained. There are stairs involved so just be mindful of that when staying with elderly. The property managers are wonderful and very responsive. The house is just a few minutes drive from Brewers Bay. Everything was well-stocked including beach chairs and floaties. You will most definitely want to rent a 4WD to get here and in fact to get around to the many wonderful beaches on the island. My family loved it. We have older teens, so the set up was fine for us, but be mindful this property has 4 levels, the pool level, the 2nd bedroom and bath, the living area, the master bedroom and bath. Thank you to all of the staff at Villas of Tortola for a wonderful stay. (Seher K vrbo 11.21.2022)
